Partnership with City of Daytona Beach to Deliver Mobile Broadband to City Workers, Residents and Visitors

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - February 13, 2006 -- Access Anyplace, LLC, a leading metro-scale Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) today announced a partnership with the City of Daytona Beach to deploy a metro-scale Wi-Fi mesh infrastructure for fixed and mobile broadband connectivity. The service is set to launch February 2006.

Access Anyplace has forged a public/private partnership with the City of Daytona Beach to make the delivery of pervasive wireless broadband connectivity possible. The city is providing Access Anyplace with access to mounting locations, including city-owned streetlights, where the Tropos MetroMesh routers will be installed. In return, Access Anyplace will provide free wireless Internet access to the city's mobile workforce, including public safety officers, public works employees and mobile municipal workers, among others. The wireless broadband network will allow these city agencies to have secure wireless access to a number of applications in the field, resulting in increased efficiency and improved services to the community.

The initial areas of coverage in Daytona Beach include the downtown center, the area surrounding the Daytona International Speedway, and the expansive beach areas throughout the community, including in-room broadband connectivity to guests staying in the plethora of beach hotels, of which more that 60% have no existing broadband connectivity. These wireless broadband networks will be available to residents and visitors, with flexible subscription plans of daily, weekly or monthly durations. Any customer with a standard Wi-Fi equipped device such as a laptop or PDA will be able to purchase connectivity.
